1. The service

Look Before You Move (LBYM) provides customer-directed relocation research. You can request a Personal Move Guide for one or two confirmed places in the United States without creating an account. We review the requested question and available sources before offering checkout. We may decline or propose a different scope when the request cannot be supported responsibly.

A guide is an informational PDF. We do not act as a real estate broker or agent, find or sell homes, choose a place for you, rank destinations, or make a housing decision on your behalf.

2. Orders and payment

The standard pilot Guide costs $49. We show the researched places, included topics, price, and delivery date before you pay. We may narrow the scope or decline a request if we cannot support it. Sending a request alone does not charge you. An accepted guide order is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Stripe processes card payments; LBYM does not receive your full card number.

Delivery, access, cancellation, and refund rules for the guide are in the Personal Move Guide terms shown at checkout. Please review the scope and your contact email carefully before paying.

3. Research and limitations

Sources differ in date, geography, definitions, and completeness. Historical rents are not current listings; route estimates are scenarios, not guaranteed commutes; and selected local facilities are not an exhaustive list. We include material assumptions and limits with the findings and describe our methods on Our Data.

Use the guide as one input to your own decision, and verify important details with original sources and relevant professionals. We do not provide legal, financial, medical, or individualized real estate advice. We do not guarantee that a place, property, service, price, or travel time will meet your needs.

4. Your use of the site

You must be at least 18 to purchase a guide and provide accurate order and contact details. You may not use the service unlawfully, attempt to access another person’s records, interfere with its operation, or systematically extract its content. You may use a delivered guide for your own research and share your copy privately; LBYM and its licensors retain rights in the site and original presentation.

5. Former accounts and advertising

LBYM no longer offers agent or business advertising placements, provider introductions, or the former scoring dashboard. Historical account or connection records may remain where needed for support, disputes, or legal obligations. Contact us for help with a former account or record.

6. Other terms

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without a promise of uninterrupted access or error-free data. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LBYM is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid LBYM in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not override rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may update these terms and will identify the updated date. Material changes will be communicated as required. Texas law governs these terms, subject to applicable consumer protections. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory law.
